St. Clair River Sediment Regime Analysis

This task from Phase 1 of the IUGLS involved investigating the St. Clair River sediment regime and its impacts on the water level relationship between Lake Michigan-Huron and Lake Erie. This involved projects examining the geomorphic history of the river, the type of material on and beneath the river bed, the river bed topography and morphology, changes to river bed topography since the 1962 deepening of the navigation channel, and the present-day patterns and rates of bed erosion, deposition and sediment transport along the river in relation to the known hydraulic conditions in the river.
