Numerical/mathematical hydrodynamic or hydraulic models were used to simulate and make projections relating to hydrodynamic properties of water systems, such as the system's water levels, flows and velocities. For example, hydrodynamic models were used to explore and simulate scenarios related to St. Clair River conveyance changes over time, to define the limits of the Sault Ste. Marie hydropower canals, and to estimate water levels in the lower St. Marys River.
