Binational Study Board to Release Exploratory Report on Restoring Lake Michigan-Huron Water Levels

WINDSOR, ONT. --- On Friday, June 10, at 10 a.m. EDT, the International Upper Great Lakes Study will conduct a webinar regarding the results of an exploratory analysis on restoring the water levels of Lake Michigan-Huron. This analysis examines scenarios for placing structures and other engineering measures in the St. Clair River. This report is informational only – no recommendations are made.

The webinar will include an opportunity for participants to view a presentation about the report and ask questions of Study experts. The full, 187-page, peer-reviewed report, a news release with summary information and the presentation can be accessed on the Study website (www.iugls.org) prior to the webinar.

The webinar presentation will be conducted by Dr. Eugene Z. Stakhiv, U.S. Co-Chair of the International Upper Great Lakes Study. Experts on the call will include: Ted Yuzyk, Canadian Co-Chair of the Study; Dr. Anthony Eberhardt, U.S. Study Co-Manager; Dr. Syed Moin, Canadian Study Co-Manager; Chicago environmental consultant Dr. Scudder Mackey; and Jacob Bruxer, a hydraulic engineer with Environment Canada in Burlington, Ontario.
