Abstract
A 2-D hydrodynamic model coupled with sediment transport capabilities (HydroSed2D) was used to assess how physical changes and sediment transport in the St. Clair River affect the river's conveyance. Other factors also studied include ice cover and ice jam, and navigation impacts. The model was calibrated using high quality mesh and most recent bathymetry data. Shear stress distribution was generated and its implication for sediment transport analyzed.
