Impact of Navigation on Bed Mobility of the St. Clair River
- Jennifer Waters;
- A literature review was conducted to investigate the nature of and potential causes to the observed bed forms in the upper St. Clair River, including the impacts of commercial ship navigation. Discussion was presented on how natural riverine processes and possible impacts of vessel transits - propeller wash, rudder angle effect, vessel's hydrodynamics, etc. - may impact bedform development and changes.
