Hydropower Performance Indicator Development

Peter Yee;
Hydropower performance indicators were developed to assist in formulating and evaluating the performance of existing and alternative Lake Superior outflow regulation plans. These performance indicators included hydropower production, value of the energy generated, flow stability and ice cover formation. For each performance indicator, a discussion paper was prepared explaining how it impacts hydropower operations, and the rationale for use in the evaluation process.
