Adaptive Management Outreach Activities

Wendy Leger;Jennifer Read
The Adaptive Management Group conducted an extensive outreach program aimed at connecting directly with those that are actively engaged in managing water level-related risks or affected by water level impacts. The outreach program involved a series of workshops, meetings, videoconferences and discussions with government agencies, scientists, coastal zone managers, local community leaders and members of the public. The goal was to inform and involve these groups in the adaptive management process, receive input and feedback on the adaptive management strategy, address specific concerns, and seek their endorsement for the adaptive management strategy and their ongoing support in implementing it.
