Phase 2 Comments Received, Report Being Prepared

Thank you to everyone who attended our public input meetings in the United States and Canada this summer, and those of you sent in comments via our website, email and traditional mail. The comment period for the second and final phase of the International Upper Great Lakes Study has now closed.

We spoke with and heard from more than 1,200 people during our summer meetings in Michigan, Ohio, Wisconsin, and Ontario. We appreciate those who came out to hear a "status update" on Phase 2, read through our Progress Report, and voice their opinions and ask questions on this important issue.

We are now compiling a chapter in our report to the International Joint Commission, which will be devoted to public input on the topics examined in Phase 2: Lake Superior regulation, multi-lake regulation, water level restoration, adaptive management and climate change. Stay tuned. And thanks for your time and attention these past few months.
Governed by the International Joint Commission, this multi-disciplinary Study depends on several groups who provide essential support. Their broad involvement and impact are critical to the Study's success.
