Since 1978, Jim Bredin has been with
the Michigan Departments of Natural Resources and
Environmental Quality.
Jim has been the Department’s
Nonpoint Source Staff
Specialist assisting in developing policies for controlling
nonpoint source problems and was the Department
coordinator for development of the first Rouge River
Remedial Action Plan.
Since 1989, he has been the Assistant Director for the
Office of the Great Lakes
overseeing efforts to address Lake Huron and
Saginaw
Bay water quality issues and serving as
Michigan’s representative to the Annex 2001
effort to develop protection measures for the
Great Lakes
from water diversions.
