Mary has served as the Parks and Recreation Administrator and City Forester for the City of Superior, Wisconsin, since 1993.
In her position, she is responsible for the care and maintenance of 5,000-plus acres of parks and open space, much of it along Superior’s 96 miles of shoreline. In addition, Morgan oversees the city’s urban forestry program, which includes managing about 19,000 public trees.
In recent years, she has served as an advisor to the mayor of Superior on Great Lakes issues. As a member of the Study’s Public Interest Advisory Group, she brings perspectives from the Great Lakes & St. Lawrence Cities Initiative, a group of U.S. and Canadian mayors and civic leaders.
Mary holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication & Organizational Management from Concordia College of St. Paul, Minnesota.
She and her husband, Mark Schroeder, live in South Range, just south of Superior.
