Sandra George began her career in fisheries and aquatic ecosystem management with the federal department of Fisheries and Oceans Canada where she worked for 12 years. She has been with Environment Canada for 16 years and has been a Great Lakes Program Coordinator working within the Lakewide Management Plan (LaMP) Program. Her work has focused on the development and implementation of binational Lakewide Management Plans and Great Lakes Area of Concern Remedial Action Plans (RAPs) to restore and protect Great Lakes water quality and aquatic ecosystems.
