Glenn Warren began his 37 year career with the Ontario Government working with the Ministry of Natural Resources in Eastern Ontario. Initial responsibilities included working as a Timber Management Officer, and three years later assumed the role of Conservation Officer before transferring to Sudbury to undertake the Commercial Fisheries Officer portfolio and then as the District Fisheries and Wildlife Management Officer.
In 1984, Mr. Warren joined the Ministry of Tourism as a business and marketing analyst working with the resource based tourism industry and providing tourism representation for a number of provincial initiatives including the Lands for Life planning initiative, the Ontario Moose and Bear Advisory Allocation Committee and public hearings that were held across Ontario during the Sunday Shopping consultations.
In 1997 Mr. Warren joined the Ministry of Northern Development and continued to work with the tourism industry. In 1998-99 Glenn was a co-founder of the Great Lakes Cruise Ship Coalition, an organization consisting of communities and organizations from around the Great Lakes with a mandate to re-create a strong cruise ship industry.
In 2001, Glenn was appointed Provincial Co-ordinator of the Resource Based Tourism Diversification Program, an initiative to assist hunting and fishing lodges and resorts add new products and services to broaden their customer base. He has also played an active role assisting waterfront communities modernize their waterfront, focusing on marina development and outdoor recreation.
Mr. Warren retired from the Ontario Government in 2009 and currently operates a consulting business that specialized in tourism and environmental resource management initiatives.
