Most of Donald Burn’s experience has been dealing with the statistical aspects of hydrology including regional flood frequency analysis, the analysis of drought characteristics, and the impacts of climate change on hydrologic variables and water resource systems. In the past, Dr. Burn taught as a Professor in the Department of Civil and Geological Engineering at the University of Manitoba, has been contracted as a consultant for both the Federal and Provincial Government Departments, and was affiliated with several Canadian Societies and Associations like the Association of Professional Engineers of Ontario, the Canadian Water Resources Association, and the Canadian Society for Civil Engineering to name a few. He is currently a Professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Waterloo, and is also the current editor for the Canadian Water Resources Journal.
