Don L. Marles

Don spent 35 years with Natural Resources Canada in research, predominantly focused on plant physiology. He remains involved in the conservation community, and continues to serve on a number of groups.

Don has been an executive member of the St. Marys River Bi-National Public Advisory Council since its creation in 1988. The river is an Area of Concern in the Great Lakes.

Don’s memberships also include the Lake Superior Advisory Committee, which acts in an advisory capacity to the Lake Superior Management Unit of the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources. The Committee represents resource user groups such as commercial and recreational anglers, tourist outfitters, boaters and native groups.

Don has been a member of PIAG since its inception in 2007.

He lives in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, with his wife. They have two grown children.
