David Wright

Mr.Wright is a senior project manager with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Detroit District. He has been with the Corps for 22 years, and is currently overseeing several regional programs and studies, including serving as the U.S. co-manager of an ongoing bi-national Great Lakes- St. Lawrence Seaway Study which is focusing on evaluation of the current and future infrastructure needs of the commercial navigation system . He has also served as the Chief of Contract Administration for Detroit District and as a technical manager overseeing numerous navigation related projects throughout the Great Lakes, including the proposed Soo Replacement Lock at Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. He earned his B.S. degree from the University of Michigan and a master’s degree form Wayne State University, both in Civil Engineering, and is a registered professional engineer in the State of Michigan.
